Grants
A number of grants are available to you, as a part-time student working toward your online degree. If you secure a grant, the money does not have to be repaid as long as you continue to make satisfactory progress toward your bachelor's degree.
Federal Pell Grant
Because you're an undergraduate student, you may be eligible for a Federal Pell Grant. Your award amount depends on your income, educational costs, and enrollment status. If you decide to enroll full-time, you could be eligible for a higher Pell Grant amount. You can receive one Pell Grant award per year from one educational program at a time. If you qualify for a Pell Grant, you may also be eligible for other Federal and institutional grants. See Pell Grant for more information.
State and Institutional Grants
Many states fund their own grant programs. You typically apply for these programs when you complete the FAFSA online. In addition to your Federal aid, your school may award institutional grants as part of your financial aid package. State and institutional grants are also awarded based on information you provide on the FAFSA. Contact your school's financial aid office for more details on specific institutional grant options
If you leave your program or change your enrollment status, you may have to repay some grants. Fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine your eligibility for Federal, state, and institutional grants.
